Banff Hot Springs
In 1884, as the construction of the cross-Canada railway was steaming steadily ahead, Canadian Pacific Railway workers William McCardell and Frank McCabe discovered the Banffs Upper Hot Springs waters that until then were known only to the Stoney Indians. These were sacred waters of the Stoney, infused with what they believed were healing properties.
Now, against a backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery, luxuriate in soothing hot springs where travellers have come to take the waters for more than a century. Open year round, Banff Hot Springs is a historic spa with an outdoor spring-fed hot pool and restored 1930s heritage bathhouse all with a breathtaking view of famous Mount Rundle.
